Arayes -Middle Eastern Stuffed Pita

Ingredients:

* 4 pita breads

* 1 pound ground beef

* 1 medium onion, finely chopped

* 1/2 cup parsley, finely chopped

* 1 bell pepper, finely chopped

* 1 tsp paprika

* 1 tsp cumin

* Salt and pepper to taste

* 4 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.

2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

3. Add the onion, parsley, and bell pepper to the skillet and continue cooking until the vegetables are soft. Season with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.

4. Cut a pocket into each pita bread, being careful not to cut all the way through. Stuff each pita pocket with the meat and vegetable mixture.

5. Brush the outside of each pita with the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil. Place the pitas in the skillet and roast them for 4 minutes on each side, or until they are lightly charred and the filling is hot.

6. Transfer the pitas to a baking sheet and roast them in the preheated oven for 8 minutes, or until they are heated through.

7. Serve the arayes hot, with your choice of dipping sauces like Amba, like Amba, and tahini, schug-spicy sauce or toppings. Enjoy!
